National Vocational Qualifications are statements of a person's current competence in the workplace. National standards of competence have been developed by the management lead bodies. These standards are used by Assessment Centres like Fortan to measure people's competence. Each award is organised into a set of units which can be completed in their entirety for a full award or in single units for partial certification. Alternatively, you may prefer not to have assessment but focus on the training course.

All of our training programmes are interactive and expect delegates to be prepared to being workplace issues to the course for discussion and resolution. Fortan have developed a number of self-assessment exercises that we use throughout our training to help delegate focus on their management skills and qualities and thereby set personal targets for improvement. These can be carried forward into appraisal.

We may be able to certificate your existing training programmes through ilm (Institute of Leadership and Management). It is likely that the training courses that you already run will cover many of the issues and requirements of the various ilm awards. Fortan can create an assessment template to map your training against the national standards and thereby provide your staff with national certificates of competence.

All of our management qualifications are accredited by ilm.

Group size limited to 10 people. All short courses can be run on site or at our Swindon office. All are certificated by assessment for an NVQ unit at levels 2, 3, 4 or 5 or a certificate of course attendance. (There is an additional charge for NVQ assessment).
