Funding - Adult Skills Budget  (formerly known as Train to Gain)

Fortan has a contract with the Skills Funding Agency for first level 2 and first level 3 diplomas and NVQ's.

The Adult Skills Budget  is funding  from the government to pay full or a partial payment towards an NVQ or Diploma qualification at levels 2, 3, and Registered Manager Award, subject to eligibility. Through Train to Gain, small to medium employees are allocated a Broker who will support you in accessing all your organisational and development needs.

TSI - Training Strategy Implementation Funding

Fortan can support you in accessing TSI funding supporting employers to meet the minimum standards for Induction and NVQ minimum standards laid down in the Care Standards Act 2001.

TSI funding can be used to fund Care Diplomas and  NVQ's level 2 and 3 awards and the Registered Managers Award. It can also be used to help fund employers to meet the national minimum "Skills for Care" induction standards and LDQ Induction standards.

TSI funding has played a major role in supporting many employers in meeting the national minimum standards by developing staff to gain a workforce that is both competent and accredited. Being employer lead enables partners to blend provision from a number of providers or manage delivery through in-house trainers and the use of specialist learning resources to support a structured and coordinated approach to induction.

It is a requirement that in order to access this funding, employers are required to complete a National Minimum Dataset (NMDS-SC) organisational questionnaire. The questionnaire and supporting guidance can be downloaded from the Skills for Care link at www.nmds-sc.org.uk/nmds.asp A unique reference number will be allocated to your establishment.
